What You Should Know About Our Keratin Treatments
Keratin is a type of protein that makes up a protective barrier on the epidermis—our skin. It has the ability to repair damaged cells to make your hair smoother, silkier and resilient; it helps tame frizz and restore shine, and provides long-lasting protection.
As we age, protein levels decrease and hair loses its elasticity, especially when it has been colored or chemically treated. This is where our keratin treatments come to your aid.

Useful Tips
For your keratin treatment to last longer, keep your hair free of Sodium Chloride (common salt). Put this substance on your watch list.
Keep beach and pool trips to a minimum; avoid them entirely for at least one week after treatment. Use a conditioner before going for a swim.
If you wish to dye your hair we recommend you do it before the keratin treatment, or wait at least two weeks after treatment to color it.
Directions for using KERATIN SMOOTHING TREATMENT:
Wash hair twice with our DAMANCI Clarifying Shampoo. Towel dry and allow all moisture to disappear. Using a comb, section hair into 4 parts. Pour 2 to 3 oz. of treatment into a container and apply DAMANCI Keratin Smoothing Treatment with application brush onto 1⁄2 inch layers of hair, 1⁄2 inch away from scalp. Continue until entire head has been treated. Remove excess with comb. Allow the treatment to set for 20 minutes. Blow-dry thoroughly with the help of a comb until hair is 100% dry. Set iron at 450F degrees if hair is not damaged and 380F degrees if hair is moderately to severely damaged. Iron each lock of hair, run the iron through the same lock 8-10 times. Repeat the procedure until entire head is treated. Finish by applying our DAMANCI Argan Oil to restore shine and natural elasticity. Typically results last 4 – 6 months. Directions for using ZERØ FORMALDEHYDE KERATIN TREATMENT:
Wash hair twice with DAMANCI Clarifying Shampoo. Dry well with a towel and use the dryer at medium temperature, making sure that the hair is completely dry before moving on to the next step. Using a brush section hair into 4 parts. Apply Damanci ZERØ Formaldehyde Keratin Treatment with application brush onto 1/2 inch of hair layer by layer, 1/2 inch away from scalp starting from roots to ends; do not apply directly to scalp. Continue until entire head has been treated. Let the treatment set in for 30 minutes (fine/colored hair), 40 minutes (medium/coarse hair), 50 minutes (virgin/curly resistant hair) while combing hair straight every 10 minutes. Wet the hair, but do not rinse. Apply our DAMANCI Pure-Intense Hair Mask for 15 to 25 minutes. Wet the hair but do not rinse it. Blow-dry hair 100% straight. Flat iron 1⁄2 -inch sections 10 to 15 times per sections at 350 – 450 degrees depending on hair thickness and texture. (350 degrees for fine to medium hair and 450 degrees for medium – coarse hair). Finish by applying our DAMANCI Argan oil to restore shine and natural elasticity.
